Stock coil removal?

I'm trying to swap out the stock coil springs on our new 92 Ex, but I can't seem to get the axle to drop down enough. I have the swaybar and shocks disconnected, and it still won't drop. My Q is, does the stock radius arm not allow enough droop to let the top of the coil just pop out? I haven't dealt with stock arms before, my truck has Rancho arms.

When I put my lift on the first thing I did was the coils and all I had to do was just push down on the hub until the spring was loose then turned the spring (I think clockwise) until the top popped out. Hope this helps, Kyle.
