hey you guy's this is EASY.

'96-'98 factory 893 or 899 only 37.5 watts. plastic lens

'99-'01 factory 9145 [ford only bulb 42.5 watt] 9005 works

*some '00 models took H1 bulb. if it is at all silver, it's a H1.

www.powerbulbs.com

brightest STANDARD wattage bulb. philips vision plus 50%. available h1, 9005

don't fart around with overwattage stuff in your factory [junk] fogs.

http://lighting.mbz.org/tech/tech.html

this site really deflates PIAA'S advertising. what they claim is NOT possible. example 55 watt = 85 watt

powerbulbs is in great britain.

euro spec explorers are different.

anytime you do a search for a bulb at a foreign site, you will get what is spec'd for them.

you won't find a b.s. bulb like 893/899 on that site.

wasn't there a picture posted of a h3 bulb in this thread??

NO an h3 is NOT the same, it is a pity because h3 is very common and put out a lot of light

this was on page 1 of this thread

I'd also like to know. I have the GE Super Blues for headlights and would like to find something for the fogs that will match.

why don't you get a pair of those in 9005?

they would give you a "brighter" beam in good weather, however diminish the original intent of your fogs in rain, fog, snow.

shining thru and under the fog.
