Stock Headunit

Hi everyone. Can you take a dvd monitor with out the dvd player and hook it to the stock head unit and get the head unit to play the dvds on it? I have been looking at adding one but was not sure if i could go that route or if i need to just get a dvd player. It would be installed in a 2000 XLT Explorer.

No unfortunately the stock head unit will not read a DVD. You can get a in dash double din DVD player that will fit. I have pics posted somewhere in here of the one i put in my 2000 x sport!
