stock safari rack?

I recently went to the ford dealer and saw a congocage/safari rack on the new 2003 explorers. It looks like it may fit on my 1993 explorer. It just mounts on the cross beams from the stock roof rack. IT has a clamp-like attachment which could mount on different size cross beams. I asked the guy in ford but he was no help. So i took a 2nd look at theirs, and i think it will fit. it only cost $130 (a lot less than anyone else) If anyone has tried it let me know if it works. If I order it i can't return it. It looks really nice and it comes with a cargo net. Sounds like a deal to me. I'll let you all know if it fits. I'm gonna order it monday.

If its the one I think on the new 2003 Explorers its part of the NBX package. Its a yakima load warrior roof basket. Did you say that Ford wants only $130 for it. If they are asking that I will probably go get one. The cheapest I have found those for is about $220.

if you look through the parts accessories book they have there at ford there are a few yakima racks. I really don't know what brand this one is but it has the little plastic wind visor thing and is says (explorer) on it. He told me $130 and it may take 1 to 3 weeks to get it depending on back order or whatever.

wELL HECK I'm interested in that if it's like 130.00. Can you post stock number or part number? I just checked the ford accessories online aqnd the only one listed is the Mega warrior Yakima rack with the Yakima fairing. Cost 546.00. So if you order it get me the part number.

the guy at the parts desk gave me the part #f75z7855100ja if you guys find a pic of it on the internet let me know. that was at Dayton ford in N.J. I'm going to miller ford in mount holly and gonna try to order it monday.

the local ford dealership has one in the parts department for sale. this one has the no-boundaries logo on the fairing. its pretty cool, and seemed really nice quality to me. i had some time to play with it cause the idiots couldent find the spacers i ordered.

The NBX that I saw the rack on didn't appear to be made cheapily to me. Also, not sure if there are different models of the basket, but according to the newest 4wheel and Offroad Mag, it says that the basket is a load warrior.

The complete part number for the Yakima LoadWarrior Cargo Rack is 1L8z7855100AAN. The price is $266.00, but if you know someone who owns a body shop or something, they can usu. get around 25% off the price which would bring it down to around $200.00.

I just Bought an 03 NBX and I have this entire rack in my basement. Just so you know, It will end up costing more than $220 from the dealer. When I was there, I tried to trade the rack for some other accesories. He looked it up and with everything it comes with, it was almost $300. He would not trade me the rack for a hitch mount bike rack, so I left, and bought a bike rack myself.

The one on the NBX come with the basket, with the extension piece, the cargo net, air deflector and all mounting hardware. The prices you guys are getting might be for the rack ONLY.

I have the paperwork right in front of me with the list of stuff, but no scanner

Maybe if someone had a fax, I could send them it to post for everyone?
