You will need a headunit that will support a subwoofer. Since your ST did not come with a sub, your stock HU probably does not provide the support. You will also need the wiring harness between the HU and the sub. Best thing to do would be to find a donor vehicle, or go aftermarket.
ok I see. I plan on installing a Pioneer AVH-3200 double din soon so I guess maybe I will just go aftermarket... Any tips on wiring in an aftermarket amp and subwoofer box for these?
I don't have any tips, but when u do this make a project thread and post updates. I've been trying to think of a way to put a box behind the seats for a loooong time now. Only thing I can come up with are slim mount subs and a home made or custom box to fit in am area cut out behind the seat. Only thing holding me back is $$$$$
