Wel all have to replace my stock sub in my 97 EB, probably thanks to the kids. What other year sub units will fit in my 97, saw a 01, will that fit in mine? Seems to be easier to replace the unit vs. the sub itself. Does anyone maybe have a unit in fully operational condition they would want to part with? Thanks all

i have one in perfect condition, but its out of my 95

All the sub units were the same so any year will fit. Fosgate makes a 6.5" replacement sub that will bolt right in the factory location also.

I replaced mine at one point with a JL. It was a lot nicer than the factory one.

My stock JBL rocks! If I ever decided to replace it, like in your situation right now, I would try to go a size bigger. I think 8 inch would fit nicely with some decent amp.

NOTAJP you said they are all basically the same. Weren't the later models 8 inch and the earlier ones, like the 95-97 6 inch. Would the enclosers be the same so I could just swap the newer unit in mine? I hate to get one and find that it won't fit. Thanks all

I bought a Rockford Foscate 6.5" sub a year ago b/c my JBL one blew. The Rockford bumps a lot smoother and tighter than the JBL sub. I love it!!!

It would be good to know...

Just got a sweet deal on a '97 XLT - and am looking at adding the optional factory sub unit. I see a couple listings on Ebay, for example, though not specifically for a '97.

Anyone know if the part #s are the same or interchangable for the whole assembly?
