Stock tire size for 2002 E.B.???

I have a quick question. I have a 2002 Explorer Eddie Bauer and the tires that are on it are P245/70R16. Yet, I m seeing everywhere, even in the owner's manual, that the stock tire size is P255/70R16. Does anyone know what is going on? The sticker on the driver's door stated that the P245 tire is the one for my vehicle, yet the owner's manual states that 255 is the stock size.
Any suggestions?

I agree and that is what I am going to do, but I was just wondering why it is in print in the owner's manual but different on my truck. Even some web sites state that the E.B. comes standard with 255's???

2001 EBs came with 255-70-16. 2002 EBs came with 245-70-16. They probably didn't update the owner's manual correctly.

My 02 Limited has 245 70 16s on it.
