Stock wheel spacers

Has anyone added wheel spacers (1
" or 1.25"), using the stock 97 chrome wheels (or compatable) to gain stability? Ford is buying us a new set of tires and I plan to drive 70 mph alot. Could you suggest a vendor?

do a search on Wheel spacer good or bad, In this thread I got the impression that these were junk and also pricy, I chose to get new wheels for $80 a piece rather than spend $60 a piece on a product that will be hard on my truck

i have 1" wheel spacers by H&R (you can get em from performance products - $280.00 for all 4.) i havent installed them yet. theyre going on this weekend with my cobra r's a number of others have them too - try a search on it.

basically what that other thread says is how the spacers put extra stress on your wheel bearings...but so does putting oversized tires on your truck and look how many people on this site have gigantic tires - its not like the spacers are worse or anything.
