stock wheels and 31x10.5r15's and a few other q's

just want to make sure that the 31x10.5's will fit on the stock wheels on my 94 eddie. im in a crunch with money right now being a senior and prom commin up ugh. but i want new tires . so figure ill get wheels later on after prom or somethin.

q number 2...i was lookin at the Les Schwab add today and was lookin at the Open Country and WildCat A/T tires...seeing that they are local, i was thinking maybe ill just go with these tires. any reviews on them?

q number 3...what stores would carry pro comp or bfg tires in north west washington?

q number 4...buy tires online or in the store...

yes they fit on stock wheels. you can even go with a 11" tire on a stock 7" wheel. some even have 33s on stock wheels. but it can be considered "unsafe" even though i dont think so.

They Might Rub

I put some 31x10.5 Bridgestone Duelers on stock wheels on my '91 and they rubbed slightly when turning. If you read some other posts, many people have fit 31's without a problem. I live in MT and almost everyone runs Wildcats from Les Schwab, so they couldn't be too bad. Also, TireRama carries ProComp here, but I don't know if you have them out there. Good luck!

yeah i already figured that they would rub a little. so ill deal with that untill i can get a 2" suspension lift.

but im still debating...buy online or at a shop?!?!

Consider Installation & Other Costs

I know you've probably thought about this, but you'll have to get the new ones mounted and balanced if you order them. Those costs are usually figured in to the price you'll pay at a shop. You can usually find some really good prices on good tires (BFG's and GoodYear MT/R's) at places like Costco. Another place to look, especially if you're strapped for cash, is a junkyard. I picked up a set of nearly new BFG 32x11.5 All Terrains for $50 each and there were quite a few other, good tires there. The simple way to decide is usually: online is cheaper, but you won't get any service, so you'd better know what you're doing. Buying local may be a little more expensive, but you'll get service and someone to help you out if you need it.

thanks. was just talking to a friend(who use to have a nice bII), goin down to olympic 4x4 on wednesday. guess they have a junkyard for 4x4's as well. so hopefully i can find some good stuff in there.
