2010 Ford Explorer
Hello All,

I'm a new 2010 Ford Explorer owner and have had it for 3 months.
Really liking it and getting used to driving my first SUV.

I do have a couple of questions but the first is..

In the Explorer whenever I have anything in the trunk, it just seems
like it slides about all over the place and bangs about on the sides.
Never had that problem in any of the cars that I've had but this is
the first SUV I've had.

I daren't put any groceries in the back as they'd be all over the
place, big items that I wedge in there it's okay, but a few smaller
boxes and there sliding all over the place.

Any ideas on how to stop this from happening? Surely all the other SUV
drivers must face the same thing. I can't believe everyone goes out
and buys anti slip mats, etc. Also I have the third row seats that are
normally down, but I don't want to block them with anything.

Supposedly I do have a cargo organiser but that just looks to be a
cover for some tools. There are some anchor points too.

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks.

Rav.

I bought "rubber" cargo mats at Walmart that are somewhat sticky and reduce the sliding. I have two so when I put the second row seats down, I can cover that area also. They also provide protection for the OEM covering.

But if you are like my number 1 son who as a teen went around corners on two wheels --- try all four for a change :)

I bought a husky liner for the back. much less sliding around than before, I think it was about $70
