That's a good point. I thought about this before i decide on something. I have a box that is grey to match my interior, it is actually at tote from an auto parts store that i borrowed!! It isn't to big but i keep all kinds of stuff in it.!! Here is a link to it if you wantcargo area. You can also see what i've done back. I've got 2 Golden Retrievers and they do just fine back there. Hope this helps!

Happy trails!!

I built a false floor out of 1/2" MDF and 2x2, then carpeted it. Works great. I'll take a picture.

I gotta rubbermaid tub from Walmart for like $5. It was some god awful green. A can of matching touch up paint and it looks like it belongs there.:redexp:

I also got a tote from walmart in the back of mine. I paid like $10 for mine.

I BOUGHT SOME WOOD FROM HOME DEPOT (SHELF MATERIAL), SOME HINGES AND SOME GREY PAINT. BUILT A GREAT BOX WITH A PAD LOCK ON IT. BEST THING I'VE DONE FOR STORAGE YET!! I'M TAKING PICTURES THIS WEEKEND..STAY TUNED!!

I'm using a tool box from Home Depot in the rear of mine. It's like the totes from Wal-Mart, but larger. I'm able to hold my tools, two tow straps, tackle box for spare parts, and several other items. I drilled a few holes to mount the air tank for my QuickAir compressor as well. It's large, but great for carring your items.

We built a false floor. 1/3rd of it is for the Amplifiers and cooling tunnels (to keep the amps cool) and the rest is for storage.. (tow strap, jumper cables.. 2 books.. lots of tools and misc spare parts)

Here a Pic of the back of the truck with the floor open and closed (both sides).. (I no longer carry the rocket launcher case in the truck.. I get stopped too often coming back from mexico with it in the truck)

Here's my kick ass one, the coolest part abotu my mod is it converts into a queen size bed by folding the front seats up and laying down some pre-built brackets, then airing up the air mattress.

cool set ups guys. for the little stuff i carry, like a night stick ( just in case) and some other car realted stuff, i found that a mile crate works the best . they are realt strong, and they are real easy to carry with the handles.

Has anyone build or purchased ( id sucj a critter exists ) a completely waterproof box for the rear?

Thanks....

Ya Al I saw, just last week, a guy with a very large waterproof box in the back of his hearse.
There is one made but I don't think you really want it...

Ah, Bill, my friend, always looking out for me. Remember, I am a simple country boy from Jawga and we get pine boxes and they do leak.....

Here's my false floor, construction is similar to matts.
