Any one in the San Diego metro area have space to store a 20' trailer with my Ranger loaded on it for about a month while I am out of town?

That would be great. Don't just want to leave it on base here for a month during the holidays. When would be a good time this week. I don't get off work until about 4pm. Friday I should be done by about noon, hopefully. Let me know.

Yep, its sitting up at Matt's place right now.

Good. I am glad Matt offered his place. I was going to have you bring it over to my place but then I would have to listen to the wife complain about "another truck in the back yard"...

Gotta bring this thread back from the dead.

I'm currently storing my rig and trailer down in Imperial Beach at a small used car dealership. Went to pay my rent on the first and found out that they had some complaints to the county from neighbors on some of the items they had stored in their back lot. The guy I'm renting from was pretty straight forward as to what the problem was (rented to a crappy body shop, that stored some real crap back there), even admitted that he screwed up when he rented to the body shop.

The problem is that I (and everyone else) may be getting evicted to appease the county. So I may need some place to store my 20' trailer with the Ranger on it, either temporarily or permanently. If anyone knows of some good places in the San Diego metro area to store something of this size (~24' total length) for cheap (currently paying $75/month), please let me know.

If you need a place for a month or two you can bring your truck and trailer back to my place. I am not sure how the neighbors would do if I start storing too much stuff here.

That's kinda what happened here. He rented to a body shop that started storing some real junk cars in his back lot.

I'll have to wait and see as to what happens with the county.

...You can check with local RV storage places...It sounds high dollar but my X is staying in a good sized facility, secured with lights and cameras, and 7day/18hr access, with a onsite wash bay for a little less than you are paying...

...It's worth the several phone calls...I am happy I found a place that I don't have to worry about parts being stripped off of it or it being vandalised...

When I moved down here, I was looking for some place like that. I either got the "we are for RVs only" to "we can't store a trailer that long" speech. Either way I am going to start the search anew. Hopefully I can find a better place for about the same money in a better neighborhood.

..lol, I here you..I got the same responses...I found most of the places wanted about $120-$150 and they were not as nice as the place I'm at for half the price...I found out RV storage has seasons like everything else...Some times they have a waiting list and sometimes they can't fill there spaces...

...Good luck on finding a good place...
