Straight Axel Swap

this question is kinda aimed at rick...or anyone else with a straight front axel x. would it be easier to start with a 2wd truck vs. a 4wd if you were planning on switching out the transfer case anyway?

4wd.

Still have to have a tranny with the t-case adapter and correct length output shaft.

I believe the spline count is different as well. I converted mine to 4wd with the stock D35. I do wish however I would have gone straight axle.

Spline count from a 2wd to 4wd tranny output shaft is the same I think. It is just the length that is different.
