Hi All,
I have a 2013 Ford Explorer Limited. It's been running fairly well but in the last week, I started noticing that upon initially accelerating, I can hear some creaking/knocking noise (like a old bed with springs sound) that seems to come from behind the steering column. It only lasts for a second or so then disappears. When I brake, I get the same sound close to when the car is coming to a complete stop.
Does anyone have an idea what that might be? I checked this forum and the closest thing I've seen is creaking/squeaking when the steering wheel is being turned. I do have that problem as well but this is just a bit different.
