Some weird stuff: All of a sudden my O/D won't work unless the headlamp switch is turned on, and the brake warning light is on until I turn the headlamps on, then it goes very dim but stays lit. Brakes seem fine, fluid is fine. Had the wheels off, nothing noticeable with the pads or calipers. Any ideas out there?

Check your fuses. The Headlamp and OD switch are on the same fuse circuit I think.... Check the wiring being damaged where it exits the shifter tube also... Much time it rubs through.

Being a Canadian vehicle, I assume that it has DRLs (Daylight Running Lights). These use several inputs, including from the brake pedal. Don't know about your O/D problem, but I had the DLR module fail with the other symptomps that you described. It's located somewhere below the driver side headlamp. Unplug it and see what happens. You may need the shorting plug that replaces it in the connector, but not sure about that -- some say it only affects the high beams.

Thanks, checked all fuses yesterday to be sure.
Looking into chafed wiring today. Wish me luck...

DTR module was removed last year when my headlights would not turn off. Is it possible that the socket has water and is shorting the DTR contacts? Fog lamps would work on high beam yesterday, and today, they are back to normal, they only come on when low beams are on. Confusing when the symptoms keep changing. It's been below freezing here for days.
