about three months ago i had an issue where the truck started up after being warm and idled very rough. putting the truck in gear and driving away just caused it to loose all power and stall. After stalling the truck would crank over but run at about 200-300 rpm for about 10 seconds then die. eventually after a few minutes sitting it would start up and run just fine. it seemed like a fluke thing until just a few days ago the same exact thing happened again. so this is not a constant issue just every once in a blue moon. any ideas?

Additional info :

When was the last time you changed the Fuel Filter?

11 years with the same fuel filter probably isnt a good idea :thumbdwn
with the engine light , just take it to a parts store , most can read your codes for free
