So.. I tried to search for the answer to my problem. But im not 100% sure whats wrong with my X. When I am driving I hear no noise. But when I pull into the parking lot and try to park (turning right into the stall) i hear this really bad grinding sound from the front left wheel area. Its also starting to make sounds when i turn left. Sometimes the noises goes away, and then it comes back.

Could it be the bearing on the front left?

Usually when you encounter this problem, is it better to change the front left and right bearings?

Mine was doing the same thing, no noise until I pulled into the driveway turning right. It was the lower right ball joint. Could be your left. Jack up the front left tire and see if there is any play. Hope that helps.

If your ball joints check out i would suspect the cv axles.

I second the checking of the CV's while your under there check the condition of the boot looking for grease or dirt that is stuck on to the grease.
