can someone take this picture and lift the x enough to make it look like its fitting 31s with a 2 inch torsion twist (4-5 inches higher than it is now) i want to see how it will look. because i am considering doing it next winter and if it will look ok i can buy street performance tires now to fit my 17 inch rims since i won't have to worry about getting traction in the snow. the 31s would be on my stock 15s. if someone can do this i would be really appreciative. thanks drew

You can fit 31's at stock ride height if you want..then all you'd have to do is change speedo gears and rims for different season

thats no fun though. it would be fun to go up for the winter, and it would give me and my friends a good time to drink some beer and mess around/ have some fun with the truck. i'm just worried the air dam will look really funny. anyone have a pic of a lifted truck with an airdam. do you guys think my x would look cool up there a little half the time?

I think it would be cool, but I don;t thik it's worth the cost of lifting and lowering every season. every time you adjust the torsion bars you need an alingment also. then in the rear you'd need schakles and that would get annoying to switch out.....just my $.02

well, shackles are around 80 right? there would be no labor other than the alignment and thats under 100. my x is pretty much done at this point (i'm really not planning any more major mods) and i would be able to save some money on tires by doing this. if it would look alright i will almost certainly do it, the amount of money isn't an object, just if it will look good or janky

Don't take this hard, but it'll look like a lowrider with big tires. PLEASE RETHINK THIS!

The WP shackles are around 50 dollars. Or you could build yourself a set for under 20 dollars or buy some shackles at autozone or pep boys(I don't remember the cost).

i want to see the pics first. it will at least go to stock height for the winter, and the old wheels with snow tires will be going on. so for the price of shackles i may as well just go up a little more. i can't see why not. anyways, if you've ever been to mn in the winter you'd realize that the advantage of the traction and not wrecking my rims will be worth it. so the question is do i want to do a torsion twist with 31s or 33s? or do i want to just go back to stock height with 29? or with 31s? i need input. it will help me determine what tires to buy int he near future to put on my kmc's. someone please do the pic, after i get it i will post it with a poll where you can give opinions. i'll be your best friend forever if you do pics of all the different options. 29s 31s 33s etc and the different heights.

or i could put 31s on the 17s and the x at stock height and run it there year round?/??/?

if money is not a problem, just put an air bag suspension on there and raise it and lower it all you want with the push of a button.

Or maybe put hydrolics on it
Or Air shocks.

just a couple of different Ideas

and who cares if it looks like a lowrider with big tires it will still look good and you wont be plowin snow with you front air damn, sounds like a fun Idea to me
