Stripped rear transmission mount screw help

In process on finishing up installation of transmission and then realized had left exhaust hanger off. I fits under the rear transmission mount bolt. Well as my luck would have it, in a rush I crossed threaded the bolt and now it is stripped out. I know the proper way is to get a helicoil kit and make the repair. But was wondering if anyone else has made this mistake and did something else. Its item 24 on the assembly break down, it takes a 15 mm socket and I believe its M12x35MM.
Just looking for quick repair without having to go buy a helicoil kit and pull things apart again.

Do it right now so you don't have to fix it later. You'll thank yourself in the long run.

Will fix it right tomorrow. Just was trying not to buy a helicoil kit. Found a friend that had one.

Did you try to fix it with a tap? You might be able to save it if it didn't shave the entire thread off. The Helicoil kit is the next option. You don't need an entire set. Autozone sells each size in an individual package.
