strongest U joint

What is the strongest U joint for the best price that I can get for my stock TTB axles and driveshafts? And where can I get them? The D35 has 4.88 gears and currently 35" tires but might be moving up to 38".

And yes, I know... Things will break... They already are with the 35" but with the roof cut off and most the intierier gone, I've shead close to 1000lbs and gonna give it a shot. Oh yeah, I also currently have Precision Super Strength U joints

im not hating, but if your truck is tall enough to fit 38's and your roof is cut off i really hope u have a super strong rollbar.

LMAO, yeah it's big enough but no cage just yet, I'll be working on that part this summer

Yeah man, I read that in one of the forum "stickies". As a Master Tech, I know all about U joints and drivetrain and all. I guess what I'm asking is what people have tried out themselves, what brands hold up the best. I never really got to push the Precision joints I have because I rolled it into a gulch while night riding before I really tried any serious crawling

Spicer 5-760X. They have a cold-forged cross and are about $25-30 each.

There are some stronger joints out there also for a price, however it would be pointless to use them if you have stock OE shafts (the 760X is already as strong or stronger than stock shafts).

The 5-760x is the only one I use now (for 1310 style). We even use that for the u-joints on the 06 mustang when we had the custom shaft made..

You can always spend mucho money and get CTM etc, but I don't even know if they make 'em small enough for the D-35 shafts.

I have a few sets of the 5-760x spicers to install still. I have heard these are the best to get with stock shafts, and are good enough for chromo's, but the CTM's are better, but hella lot more expensive.

I too use the spicers and in several years only had 1 problem-- and that might not exactly be the trucks fault but maybe the attitude of the driver :-D

To be honost, that joint looks very stock... Compared to the Precision ones...

It is pretty much stock, except its cold forged and is not grease-able meaning solid.

They key is "cold forged" as the grease-able or non-greasable is sort of like ford/chevy debates.
