I'm currently working on a 1998 ford explorer 4.0L SOHC, the truck begins to slow down and make noise whenever the steering wheel is turned to the left or right, it feels as though it is stuck in 4 wheel drive or 4 low to be exact, I removed the front driveshaft and the truck turns with ease, I also removed the transfer case motor and checked that it wasnt faulty and I turned the gear selector by hand to make sure it wasnt hung up.
Does anyone have any recommendations before i remove the transfer case, and help would be great.
