Stuck in 4 Wheel Drive

is he stuck in low or high because in high the shift motor has no effect. also boominturtle where did you get your sway bar end links from mine are shot

Boominturtle????? I got them at pep boys. They were like 15$ or so. They are made for lowered exploreres only. They are 2 inches shorter than stock

hi all i use to own an explorer i know they are about the same as an ranger so listen here .i got a 97 ford ranger and had the same problem and i found out though my mecanic the (gem) was bad replaced it and it took care of my problem ....my 4x4 lights were flashing too going down the road so i replaced that and that took care of mine .check and see if they have on that might be your problem they are located behind the radio

Stuck in 4 Wheel low

'97 sport, I'm stuck in 4 wheel low, checked the fuses, disconnected the battery, any other suggestions, I'm miles from anywhere?

are you getting any binding? i had mine bind up and stuff-not fun. i just ran it thru neutral, park, drive, reverse and stuff in all the 4x4 settings i think. after that no more grindy.

Hi KyleyZ thanks for your reply. I ran it through all the gears, switched the switch from 4 low, 4 high and auto and still stuck in 4 low. Tried backing up, going forward in various gears all to no avail.

i bought a 95 explorer that had coulmn damage i replaced the coulmn but the anti thieft lights keep flashing and it wont start, the starter turns over but wont start what should i do?how do i reset the anti thieft system?
