1994 Ex . No click noise from turn signal. Please help!

I have been driving with my blinkers on and didn't know it.

Isn't there supposed to be a clicking sound to remind me?

What do I replace to fix it? (To make the stupid clicking sound again)

...at the parts store ask them for a flasher unit for your turn signals, not one for the emergencies...;)

The only problem I see with the loud mechanical flashers is that they flash really fast when you have a trailer (or a bulb out)..

If you don't pull a trailer often then it won't be a big deal.. Or as someone pointed out.. get a loud electrical flasher (musical).

On our '63 galaxie I put a piezo buzzer on the line and then when it flashed it buzzed (the left turn signal would turn on if I hit a hard bump).

That flasher is unique. It plays music!
Yeah its actually adjustable from music to a normal flasher sound. The music would drive me crazy in 2 turns :D

Wow. "Love Me Tender" is the only music choice?!? Makes me want to buy one just so I could bash to pieces with a sledgehammer :p:

my thought's exactly, fortunately there was someone smart in the development team that said, "hmmm, maybe we should give the customer the choice to turn off the music"

I mean really... "love me tender"? who wants to listen to that garbage.

What they should do is use a digital codec chip to allow you to record your own sounds. Now that would rock:thumbsup:

I would have the give some thought to what I would use....

maybe my kids saying "blinker... blinker..."

They have talking GPS, bluetooth cell phone speaker phones, Honda Odyssey cabs saying that you should buckle your seat belt, 1,000 watt stereo systems, etc. Why would anybody want something in addition to this which talks?

To help drown out the voices in my head

:D

My explorer came with relays in the back inside the spare tire jack compartment that only get used when towing a trailer. The purpose of the relays is to power the lights on the trailer by giving the lights power directly from the battery through relays that get activated when you turn the parking lights on, brakes, or either turn signal. That way your turn signal speed is not effected at all by trailer lights. This is stock on my X and works great.
