1993 explorer XLT
Hi, this might be a stupid question but i need to make sure. I live in South Africa so can't just phone up my local ford dealer and ask them.
I have a 1993 ford explorer XLT 4x4 and need to replace the ball joints, before i order them i need to know which axel my truck has, is it the dana 35?
thanks...:D

Yep, Dana 35.

Wow, south africa. You may win the award for most-out-of-the-way forum member.:D How did you find an Explorer there? Did you move from Europe or the states and take it with you?

hahaha, na there are actually a couple for sale here!!! seen 91's through to 97's for sale, my good friend has a 94 XLT and when i saw his i had to have one! He is a mechanic and him and his dad own there own shop (help me out all the time!!!) His dad has an awesome bronco too... It's now law that no more LHD vehicles can be imported into the country (danger when overtaking as we are usually RHD and drive on the left side of the road!) BUT all LHD that are already in the country are able to be bought and sold! Nice to be the only two people with x's in my area! (Mine the only lifted one i've ever seen around)

Mine and my friends were both imported as parts and then re-assembled here...thanks for the replie, now i can finally get my baby licenced and insured! Been using it the whole time but never even once been pulled over... joys of living in Africa i suppose... thanks again,
