Sub and amp combo question

I have an MTX 8302 amp and a single 12" MTX 6000 sub the amp is 425 watts peak and 300 rms bridged ,the sub is 250 rms. Im wondering is that to much power for the sub or can i control how much power it gets by adjusting the gain?

You should be fine by adjusting the gain, and using common sense.
