Sub and factory radio

I did a search and couldn't find what I wanted. I am wondering if you can hook a sub/amp to the factory stereo? I am pretty happy with the factory stereo so I really don't want to replace it.

When I had the stock HU I tapped into the rear speaker wires for line-in signal to my amp.
