problem with the track is you need to find the right sub...pioneer and kicker make shallow mounting subs that you should be able to fit under the rear seats....with a custom box...
Has anyone tried putting a stonger aftermarket sub in the factory (holds a 6 inch) sub box? I got a factory box out of the junk yard and am planning on putting a aftermarket sub in the box. That might be an option for you.
12"s are a bit much and can get slopy, IMO you cant beat a couple 10s or even 8s in the right box.....tune the box right for a couple 8s and you'll slam and still have all that pop and punch....im biased though, i play bass and run through a cab with eight 8" speakers....
I am also Biased...I've been building boxes since highschool...prolly more than 10 years now...
I've put many siff subs, in many dif boxex..and nothing sounds like a pair of 12's in a Sealed enclosure...
10's can be just as loud in a ported situation, but you sacrifice a little bit of sound quality by porting your box...
and even more so, by going bandpass
