Sub replacement

I have a 93 Explorer Sport and I want to replace the factory sub. What sub would be possible to put in it's place and can I put a new sub in it's place. Are there any pictures that anyone know of where someone has done it or a picture of the sub. What sizes can be put in also? Thanks a heap.

Are you sure your X has a factory sub? I thought just the EB and Limited had them. I could be wrong. Anyways, If you do have a factory sub, it is a 6.5", and can be replaced with a 6.5 inch sub of choice. If you want a bit more than that, I would recomend gettine some sort of a stealth box. They are made by many brands, and most hold a 10 inch sub. Hope this helps a little

I replaced mine with a JL 6W0. Kicker also makes a good 6.5" sub...I think the model number is f6.5c

I thought any Ex with the premium sound package came with them. Oh well, I could be wrong too
