subs?? advice needed!!

Well I thought about getting two 12" Infinity kappa subs i have the back speakers and they are awesome but was wondering about their subs any good?? and would a kappa component system be better than just getting the speakers with the tweeter in them?? and are lanzar subs any good?? or anyone know a good sub??thanks sorry for so many questions thanks

ive got 2 infinty kappa PERFECT 12s and they are beautiful subs. they have incredible SQ, not as much SPL but enough to hit hard. dont get the regular kappa subs, the perfects are much better.

the Kappa Perfects are very good SQ subs.

dont get Lanzar, they suck. Lanzar, Legacy, Pyle, Pyramid, etc... are worthless crap. they may be cheap, but it's a real waste of money.

Pioneer

I have a pair of Pioneer 12" with a 500w Pioneer amp 2 custom built boxes with a 15 degree bevel pointed to the back window. It hurts plenty The Infiniti's are the sexiest looking speakers I've ever seen but the money I saved buying Pioneer almost paid for my amp

I'd go with IDQ, they can pound their ***** off but are the best damn SQ subs i have ever heard... i plan on putting an IDQ10 in my X ASAP

id stay away from sony's excpet their new HU's.... the amps are decent but i feel you could get better stuff for the money...

yeah the new sony es headunits are really good. i never liked sony's car audio stuff (especially the subwoofers), but the es headunits with 3 sets of 5.5 volt preamp outputs are very impressive.

I just(30 min. ago) added 2 12" MBQ reference subs and all I can say is O.M.G. the sound quality is superb! Not only do they sound most excelent but they will hit hard if you want them to. I now have all MBQ speakers in my X and will never buy anything else.

Sad to say, RF owns MBQuart now... but theyre still good... the highs are a little too *crisp* for my liking, but hey, whatever floats ur boat

mb quarts sound too "bright" to me. i dont really like them. but they are good speakers and a lot of people like them. if we all liked the same thing, there would only be one car audio brand.

one of my favorite brands for components is focal. all of their lines sound great to me. sure they're expensive (especially the utopias), but you get what you pay for.

focal along with Diamon HEX's and Crystals are some of the most amazing speakers i have ever heard... i would reccomend anyone serious in car audio with some money to spend to invest in them, u WILL NOT be dissapointed

I like the MBQ because they are brighter sounding than most other brands. I have a high frequency hearing loss so I need all the help I can get with the higher frequencies.

Best subs I have ever heard are the a/d/s/ rs.2 series. I have a 310rs.2 in my car and it absolutely blows the JL 10W6 it replaced out of the water. It is clean, tight and musical and can pound when needed. Highly, highly recommended. Of course, there's always the servo controlled Velodynes, but those are about $800-$1000 each.
