Has anyone ever put subs in the rear hatch? They would have to be flushmounted for me because i use my rear cargo area alot. I found you could fit 2 10" jl's in there. But anyone done it?

Jay,

When I was putting my subs in, I thought about doing that. However, I decided against it.

1) Magnet clearance would be very tight.
2) Rear door would vibrate badly
3) Opening and closing of door might shake speakers loose
4) Sometimes (rarely) water gets into some spaces in the door (that's why there are drain holes at the bottom.
5) wiring would have to go through a conduit to the door and weatherstripping would have to be redone (well)

There are many pros to the idea, also, but these cons and more made me nix the idea. Good luck in whatever you do!

Just get a JL stealth box you would spend more time and money fabing something up to do it anb it would still not sound that great. plus with a stealth box you dont have to worry about losing cargo space that is what did it for me...
