1998 Ford Explorer XLT
Hey guys, just looking for some advice here. I currently have a 1998 Ford Explorer XLT without the factory sub. I was wondering what my options were for a small sub preferably that is made to fit in the small cargo area in the back on the passenger side (I believe where the factory sub would have been). I have been out of car audio for quite some time my last system was 2 15" kicker competition series in a 240sx about 13 years ago. I just want something small like a single 10" possibly even with a built in amp but that's not necessary. Im just curious who makes a small inconspicuous enclosure for these.

Also Im curious to see what any of you have done for a small but good system. I still need most of my cargo room, just want a little bass.

MTX makes powered and non-powered enclosures to fit in the OEM space. Q-Logic does/did make enclosures. Vantage made enclosures in the past.

Search "Budget Bass" for more info on my sub install, using an OEM exclosure carved out to fit an 8" sub.

You can also go to the junk yard and get the factory box, then put a small 8" sub in it
