hey guys!
I have a '04 EB where I am gradually upgrading the audio. Kind of new to all this stuff. Will a Pioneer TS-SW841D 8 In. Shallow-Mount Subwoofer work as a mostly drop in replacement for the factory sub? I would want to keep the factory amp. Door speakers have been upgraded to Kickers. A new head unit is probably in my future as well. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!!!

The factory subwoofer in the back of a 91-97 is 6.5 Inches, so no, it wouldn't work. :)

An 8" might work, if you want to carve your OEM enclosure opening out. Note that there are several different versions of OEM enclosures.

Or just get the enclosure from a 98-2001, those are factory 8 inch.

OK, I'm a complete idiot. My Ex is a 2004 not 1994. Would the Pioneer work as a direct replacement? Anyone have any other suggestions that work with the factory amp? The older threads talk about JL, but they don't seem to make the model that seems to work anymore. Thanks!!

Any shallow 8 inch 4 ohm will work.
JBL, Pioneer, I think Kicker makes some too.
