Sunroof installation?

Hello,

I have a '94 Explorer Sport, and bought a '93 Sport donor vehicle for the right front fender and right door. The donor has a factory sunroof in it. Has anyone ever put one of these in, is it worth the hassle, any problems during installation, etc.?

I swapped in a Sunroof into my 1992 from a 1991....

The hardest part was re-covering my headliner in Suede.....you have to use the Sunroof Headliner, and I cut the roof off the Donor vehicle with just enough of the roof lines to use it as a lifesize, ACCURATE template of where I was going to cut my roof...

The scariest part was making that first cut...I seriously stared at the roof for about 5 minutes before I turned on the cutting wheel..

Yeah, I was thinking about that first cut myself! LOL!!

The headliner may be the issue in all this. Mine is an Eddie Bauer in tan leather with a tan headliner and the donor is gray cloth with a gray headliner, plus my dome light is in a different location. Not sure how that will efffect installation yet. Was this an issue for you?

Then again, this vehicle is mainly for exploring the mountains and deserts of Idaho so looks aren't all that important. Maybe I can dye the headliner and somewhat match my interior?
