I was thinking about cutting a sunroof/moon roof in my 1994 XLT how hard would it be?
What problem might i run into?
Please help as this is my first time i am going to do something like this..And by the way its my DD...lol
Where do i start looking for a kit?

Would you be cutting the OEM style sun roof into the roof?

If so, I have a cut out section of the roof that I have used as a template to place it properly.

Or would you be installing an aftermarke one?

I suggest, and have installed the OEM style into my `92.

i would be cutting OEM style..i still gotta get the seals and glass and other things..can you help me with that template..Was it hard to do??Like time wise, any problems that you ran into..I guess i would have to relocate my dome light??

I actually have a moonroof sitting in my friend's garage that we are going to install this summer.

Supposedly older Hondas (think late 80s, early to mid 90s) had a similar roof shape and those roofs will work. The key is to have the same roof curvature (on ours think flat).

Here is an excellent write-up from someone who did one in our forum:

If you end up doing this let us know how it goes and post pics :) I'd like to see another install before I bite the bullet and do mine, as mine is D/D too lol.

Oh, something else to think of, do not cut into the ridges that run most of the roof. If you look at factory sunroofs on ours they cut into the small section of roof ridges but not the long section. Make sure that the long ones stay intact (so make sure your sunroof is far enough forward).
