Superchip for 96-03 Ford Gas Trucks V8 and V10

Does anyone have any experience regarding this? I have a guy trying to sell me one for a hundred bucks. I guess what I'm asking is it worth anything with a 5.0 Explorer?

I have one and only used for about 10 miles. I noticed a difference in transmission operation but pinged badly under wot since it requires premium and only had used 87 octane.

yeah, I reverted to stock after a couple days.
now it's just used as a code scanner.
