Superchips CAN'T be THAT good...

Hey All I just put my chip in today and am not sure if there's a difference. Is there a breaking period? Also, how do i know if it is working. MY shifting is still around 2500 to 3000. Even at WOT I don't get as high as 5000. I cleaned the contacts with the green sponge but not sure if i cleaned it all the way. I just rubbed it a few times and saw some dust on the sponge and stopped. any suggestions?

Did you disconnect your battery? If not, the comnputer won't be reset and will not use the new program. Unhook the battery for 10-20 minutes and then reconnect it. Then the computer will relearn using the chips programming. Then you should see some changes.

If htat doesn't do anything, then reclean the contacts. It took a while before mine were clean.

speed governor?

do these chips turn the top speed governor off? or is it still at about 105-110?

Did anyone get the Flip Chip? I noticed on www.superchips.com that the part # for the Flip Chip is 1300, the numbers for the Explorers are 1100.

So the question is: Is there a flip chip for the Explorer or just a standard chip?
Reason being I would like to keep using 87 octane then have the ability to switch to 91 while towing and skiing when more power is needed.

Thanks for the info. I am calling them now so I may answer my own question....I'll let you know..
