I've got the Superlift kit for the 98 and up IFS installed, and the swaybar links don't seem to fit too well. I've heard tale there's a mod that somebody did to correct the banging...

I'd love to know! Got a trailrun this weekend, and if I don't correct them they're coming off!

Also... anybody know who makes quick-disconnects for Ford Ranger/Explorer swaybar end links? If not, its fabbin' time!

I don't have that lift but:

For the front swaybar I can take off the stock endlinks in less than 5 minutes. In the rear I have quick discos made by Warrior.

BTW, welcome!

problems w/ Superlift

The stock ones I could whip off, but the superlifts are a little more jacked. Right now I'm in the process of trying to mod them so they stop banging...

Superlift has a spacer on the bottom end-link bolt that passes through the arm. Problem is the damn bolt is too short for a couple of bushings, and to small to fill the hole. They include a spacer, but the spacer is thicker then the steel of the lower support, meaning that even at maximum tightness, the nut doesn't go flush and it bangs like a screen door. I'm open to suggestions...

I took off the spacer and used a hardened washer on each side and tightened it until the washers dished in towards each other. No more rattle

that's the plan!

After pulling them off last night, I think that's the real problem. I'm going to go pick up a little hardware tonight and see if I can dog it down.

I also cooked up a plan for quick-disconnects, but I have to see how it pans out. I'm going parts hunting tomorrow.
