You can't use stock shocks in the front, they are way too short for a 5.5 inch lift.
If you are doing a SOA using superlift brackets you can use the stock length shocks in the rear, the length remains the same as original.

I have a front set of skyjackers that are new and will work. E-mail me at ROWELL1366@aol.com selling cheap

Only one suggestion, PAY SOMEBODY TO USE A WELDER TO CUT OUT RIVETS. It is well worth the money and could save you at least a day's labor.

I agree, the rivets can really slow things down, as can the rear spring bolts if they are siezed. I wasted 8 hours on the rivits and rear spring bolts. Other wise it was fairly easy lift to install. Make sure you put lock tight on the bolts as you install them or they WILL come loose.:D

Not to out do ya but I feared this when we did Ryan1's lift. Buy the good grinding discs, first cut through the head of the rivet as if you were cutting it off(I might have used a cutoff wheel for this) and then grind them down and punch them out. It took me 5-10 minutes max per rivet and there is only 8 total. Maybe I just got really good grinding discs:D

hey, thanks for the imput guys. i didnt specify but i was going to use the stock shocks for the rear. i knew that the front would need new ones, sorry about that. yeah, i have heard about getting someone to cut the rivets out and replace with bolts, but where do i take it, and how much am i looking at? and for the soa, is it necessary to take the axles out when welding the perches as to not mess anything up inside the tubes? thanks

I left the axles in & put wet rags around the area to absorb some of the heat to minimize the tubes from warping.

I'm testing these shock extenders on the rear.

Dead Link Removed

I had the shocks mounted in swaybar bolt holes but now that I want to finally put my Saleen swaybar in, I need to relocate the lower mount and still have space for the swaybar bracket.

I have a feeling that I'm going to have to weld some braces to this unit later so it wont fail but at least it's a bolt on part. I also dislike that it's hanging kinda low but I think it is higher than the stock position.

I was going to weld some shock mount tabs on the axle but I decided to go with bolt on as much as possible incase I ever want to sell it in stock condition and remove everything, it doesn't look very altered.
