I am seriously considering lifting my '94 XLT. I found some kits in a magazine from 4wheelparts.com. There was a " 4'' lift w/ rear springs" for $747.99 and a " 6" w/ relocation bracket" for $669.99. Is Superlift a good brand? What exactly is a relocation bracket? Will I be able to install it myself with only a jack or do i need something like a hydrolic lift? Are these good prices? Has anyone ever had any trouble with 4wheelparts.com? Will this kit include everything I need to lift it? Are there any other brands out there that make a lift for my explorer? Thanks for your time.

One more thing. What is the Supperunner?

Superlift is one of the most well known suspension companies around. I believe Superrunner is Superlift's steering system.

Here's a thread to check out.

The Superlift is not a bad kit. The superrunner add on kit is the extended radius arms. There is also a Superrunner steering kt for about $350.

Thanks for the thread; it answered a few questions. The only other thing is that this would be my primary, well only, vehicle, so I would want something that does both on and off road. Will I be able to do this lift on my own? I mean I, well my granddad, have the tools, but I havent ever done anything like this before. So is this were I need to start, or do I need something else before I do this?
