how exactly would the 2" skyjacker lift with the longer coils and AAL be different than the Pro Comp 2" lift with the spacers and the AAL. In saying it this way i am refering to ride quality and what not. Not the fact that 1 comes with spacers while the other with coils. What do you guys think?

I would recommed the ones with new coils. With a 91 and being from somewhere where there is quite a bit of weather, the front springs are probably shot. You will get a much better ride with the new coils.
Beware though, once you start lifting your vehicle, it wont stop. You'll start with 2" and always be wanting more. I know, I've been there.

Ya, what he said

I'd also recomend the coils. I went with the spacers and the additional coil sag that occured after reduced the lift by almost .50". The new coils will sit slightly higher when first installed and will settle, but you won't loose much.

Definately go with coils!

If all you want is lift - then the blocks are fine, but if you actually want to wheel the truck you need springs...

The stock springs in 1st gen Ex's are rocks. They just sit there and don't move.

Below is a picture of mine. I have F 250 shock towers in place of the factory mounts (tied to the coil bucket), relocated brake lines, coils springs that are 6" static height taller than stock, (About 375# rate vs the 525# factory rate), Jeep XJ 3" lift front shocks, and sway bar disconects (they connected in this picture). I snapped this picture while doing some work on the underside - I still have to lift it about 5" higher to get the tires off the ground. It works well off road. (My avatar picture shows how it normally rides. - Check out my photo gallery for more shots)
