OKa I have Finlay settled on a lift, rough country 4'' lift looks pretty good
comes with new springs and coils and shocks. but my question is can i still use warrior shackles and f-150 coil seats, which would hypothetical give me 6'' lift, so does any one know if this is a really bad idea, and what Else would Ill need I am guessing sway bar links and a longer pitman arm but what kind of warrior shackles and what year f150 coil seats ext.....

Thanks for the help

well i had to get shackles after i installed my 4 inch a couple of years ago, to get the back level with the front (my back saged down a good 2 inches lower than the front) i dont know how yours is. but if the front is too high after you install the lift you could always remove the coil buckets. you should get drop blocks to move the swaybar down with the kit, and it should also come with a drop pitman arm too (well atleast mine did).

I was thinking about this the other day with the 5.5" Superlift kit, wondering if I could do the same thing and acheive effectivly 7.5 inches of lift. Has anyone done this in the past?

On your lift did you buy the $600or so dollar lift because it comes with new rear springs, they say the stock ones that old usally sag a bit? so I dont want to get to high on the rear, I also look on another post that 95+ they were using autozone shackels but adding a bolt to help it out?

so does anyone know what year f-150 coil seats I need to use if my rear is higher with the new springs and shackels??

Thanks

yea i did. i stock leaf springs saged a good bit. i got 2 add-a-leafs per side with the kit. and it still was about an inch lower than the front. so the shackles should make it even. do you already have the shackles? if not put the kit on and then see if you need to use the shackles. same goes for the f-150 coil seats.

From another thread:
These are the spacers from F150's that you hear about.
F2TZ5A307A Ford Coil Spring spacer
F2TZ5A307B Ford Coil Spring spacer

These are the exact part numbers.

Heads Up... If you have a 4x2, you will also need longer bolts that go thru the I-beam and thru the spacer. 4x4 is long enough.

You could just do a SOA on the rear to get about 6'". Super cheap, and rides like stock.

i was going to do that but to buy just the front lift is more expensive than just to buy the whole lift kit new springs new shocks drop arm a ton of replacement parts so i figured hell mit as well just buy a trusted lift with new parts!!! at least thats what i keep telling my self after i see the bill!!!
