Suspension issues.....again.

I wouldn't weld it- it will be difficult to remove later. Try a new snap ring ( I havent read the whole tread, so please excuse me if I am wrong.) If not that, then replace the ball joint. I definitely wouldn't weld it.

ball joints are brand new. They were installed with the spindles. Im not really to worried about removing them again. By that time i should have all new long travel pieces. When i jack up the car the weight of the car forces the ball joints up. When i drop it down and push down on them they slam back down on the metal lip at the bottom of the joint. i wish there was another way but i just dont see one. they move up and down way to easily. If it wasnt for the snap ring theyd come out while i was driving.

well i got them welded up. I was talking to a guy that had built some custom long travel setups for a few guys on this board and on dezertranger.com. Im thinking of having him build me a nice long travel setup very soon. I smell full coilovers with at least 15 inches of travel up front...

i wished you could have gone to pismo...the mounties showed up with rigs like yours and they were sweet...they had 5.0's in em and it makes me want one too...check out the back from pismo thread and if you want to see some more, i'll see what i got...i'm glad you got your truck together...

which picture shows the correct way that the ball joint should be sitting on the under side of the control arm?

I know it's too late now but for what it's worth the lower ball joint should be flush with the control arm like the first pic . I just replaced mine this weekend.
