Hey yall. Im new to the lift area, but I have a 91 Ex Eddie Bauer that I love to take offroading. I want to get a nice lift kit for it now because the current suspension is shot to hell. Here is what I was thinking about:

SkyJacker 6" lift
A Pittmann arm
4 Rancho 9000s with the Dual remote control

Would this be a good start? Does anyone know anything about the Skyjacker system? Is there anything better? I really need to know quickly so if you have any information at all on the SkyJacker system, will you please email me? Thanks a lot!!

George, Sounds like you will have a nice rig after the lift and all. I know there is a few people with the 6 inch. Also, I have heard on this board about people not liking the Rancho 9000 in-cab remote. Do a search for Rancho 9000 remote or something to that effect and read people's viewpoints on that.

Hi George, Welcome to the site. I hope you enjoy it as much a the rest of us do.
Most of the Big Dawgs here are running the 5.5" Superlift Supper Runner. It seems to be the lift of choise, with the least amount of problems.
As far as the Rancho remotes, the problem is that they don't last or break down alot. Many shops won't even install them, because they can't seem to get them to work right. The Rancho 9000 shock are very good shocks, just don't buy the incab compressor.

Thanks

Thanks a lot for the info so far guys, its really helpful! Now, if I want to get the Superlift system, what is the diff between the normal nad the superrunner thing? And finally, do both the Superlift and the SkyJacker kits come with EVERYTHING I need other than shocks? I just want to make sure b4 I buy anything later this week. Thanks a lot!

if ya got any questions on the skyjacker ask me...i got a sky jacker 6in class 2 lift...I love every bit of it.

Go with the runner system....I think its a must have. If you like driving on the trail it's mandatory imho. This is the extended radius arm that replaces your stocker. They also make some stearing options but I'm not sure what they are. The superlift is one of the better "bolt on" kits out there to date. They do have some problems but most seem minor. I'm a few months away(keep fingures crossed) from lifting mine and thats the only one I'm looking at. I have exact price quotes for the kit from 4wheelparts. If you want them pm me and I'll send them to you. They may of changed though due to the area you live in...but it's a round number.

As for the incab remote....NO. Don't waist your money.

GEORGE, The Skyjacker class 2 kit is awesome. The Superlift kit is good also, but i think the coils from skyjacker are better. They are a true 6" of lift and there dont sag over time. The RS9000 shocks are good, but do not get the in cab remote control. The shocks are control thru air controls and they leak all the time. Once they leak you loose the shock control. Good luck Rick Connors
