Suspension noise left front 2000 Expl

I need some help in identifying the source of a noise from the left front of a 2000 Explorer XLS. It's a kind of squeaking and rubbing sound. I hear it during turns and when going over bumps. At slow speeds it continues throughout the turn. It seems to be more noticeable at low speeds.

I think this noise may come from the steering mechanism or the suspension. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what it might be?

Check the front sway bar frame bushings first. Easy to diagnose by spraying penetrant or water where the bushings contact
the sway bar. If not, unload the suspension by lifting the front tires off the ground using jack stands under the forward facing "hooks" on the lower control arms and inspect everything, especially the lower and upper ball joints.
