im planning on putting a 4 inch lift on, and ive heard people say that u can run a 4 inch suspension without rotating the axles, and some people say they arent sure...so if i put a 4 inch suspension lift on, do i need to rotate the axles? and how much?

rotate teh axles? are you talking about reseting the driveline pinion angles?

im talkin like makin the driveline a different angle...so i guess it is the driveline pinion angles

its fine..... depending on the kit, it might have shims to partially correct it... but its not too big a deal

There's a lot of talk on this here. I put in a 6inch lift and didn't change the angles at all. No problem. Did have to extend the drieshaft a little but that's just because of the lift I think. People say that with our type of U joint (single cardan type I think) that they need to be parallel to each other.( The one at the transfer case and the one at the rear axle) That means that they come parallel from the factory and you should keep them parallel when you lift to eliminate vibration. That means no angle change.

Rotating isn't reccomended tll your at 6" or higher on the first gens. It should only need to be looked at if you also need to extend your drive line. But at four inches, which I have your fine with what you already have stock.
