Hey, J91
well, mud and rock crawling are about opposite on the susp. design spectrum. although using a mud tire is cool on rocks. as for your current susp. setup, did you do a spring over in the rear? if so you can get more flex by adding the main leaf from a ranger spring pack to the top of yours after cutting the eyes off the xplorer main leaf. you keep all your old leaves and add the ranger leaf on top. sway bar disconnects help on the rocks and if the mud trails are just that, mud rut trails with little need for flex, keeping the sway bars connected actually helps there, swaying too much in mud can cause you to catch a bad track. mud racers for instance have very little travel in thier susp. an adjustable shock like the rs9000 is great as well obviously 1 for crawling, super soft and flexy and you can turn it to 4 or five to stiffen up for faster mud runs. also rocky roads leading to rockcrawls can call for stiffer settings. did you get extended radius arms? they will help a lot in the front travel, there are more tricks but i seem to be going blank for some reason,
any takers? add ons?
