Hi new here! I have a 1999 Mountaineer 5.0 2wd with an excellent tranny, I also also have a 1998 explorer 4.0 SOHC 2wd with a bad tranny. Would it be possible to swap them out? I need to know before I start the process. The problem with the tranny in the explorer is 2nd gear is gone. I looked in the valve body and someone else has already done the new bonded gasket be cause the name brand is all over it. The solenoids are correct ohms. I put it all back together and new fluid, drive it about a mile, tried to put it in reverse, Nothing at all happened I then suddenly lost all gears. Any thoughts? I'm getting complaints about the vehicles in my yard I need to do something..
