Penetrating oil...New bolts and hacksaw.

is there any stuff ya can spray on to losen bolts?

spray WD-40 on there, let it sit overnight, that should do the trick. If that doesn't work try liquid wrench

Are you talking about the bolt that attaches to the end link (not the one that attaches to the axle)? If so, I had the same problem. What I did was put some vise grips on one end, and the rachet on the other with a pipe over the rachet for leverage. I was able to break it loose that way.

Spray some Liquid Wrench or PB Blaster on the bolt.

alright i'll try that!

At the dealer we use a air power cut off tool, they had a recall on the sway bar links on the 95 - 96, I just cut them off.

Does anyone know if you can tell whether or not that sway bar recall was ever done on our 95-6's? Is there something to look for?

Thanks.

You can take it too the dealer and have them check your VIN # or use a wrench to check the size of the nut and bolt of the sway bar link they are a 15mm for the nut and 16mm for the bolt.

i had to use a 18 mm wrench to get mine off.

The updated bolts are 10mm. That is the diameter of the bolt, not the plastic cover that surrounds it. The cover is much larger. I believe the older bolts were 8mm. I don't know if the bolt head changed size or not but if I remember correctly, my bolt head was 13mm.
