Wanted sway bar link?

hey my fiances dad has an 05 xlt exploder 4x4,w/150k miles. the rear end is swaying back and worth on the roads when turnig to lightly jerking the wheel. the sway bar link? tierod looking thing going from the driverside rear spindle is bad.I know nothing about this rear independent susp. just looks like another sleezy scheme that ford has pulled to make more money IMO. We have looked everywhere dealer has them on 3 month back order,no local parts stores have them, does anyone now where any ARE available ar has a wrecked exlporer w/a good one? needing it badly this one is getting terrible. I am in the same boat. It is a dealer only part and is on national backorder until the end of January. Have you tried the junk yard?

Yeah, until they are available at the dealer, the J/Y is probably the best option.

thanks alot, I;m on duramaxforum and dieselplace alot, trucks are my thing but the explorer is finally gettin close to the buyin parts mile marker 90k so I figure i better get schooled up on them a bit.

like today took it to the dealer i was 100% convinced the pass. side axle was bad, it wasnt ,they still changed and charged me for it, i flipped out (big waste of time) these all wheel drive things are def diff than a ton truck thats for sure. i had a 98 ranger in high school and gutted it and did all the work on it myself but this explorer is too cramped and im never right.

If it wasn't bad, why did they change it? Did you authorize them? Did they tell you it wasn't bad but they changed it anyway? I would be calling the attorney general, the BBB, the cops, everyone!!!!

i dropped it off told them to change it, the mech. took it apart told the service assoc. that it wasnt bad they told him to anyways WITHOUT calling me. I didnt raise as much hell as I normally/should have but I made them look retarded and wont be going back to them again its only 150 bucks but its the fact ppl are that ignorant.im still pissed.

i was dumb founded at first i mean a 3 1/2 million dollar dealership has ppl like that working for them. my local half assed chevy dealer would have called just to get out of the work.
