9337: how well do your hids fit with the bulb shields? is there enough room for the bulb to move up and down like a bixenon kit would?

Me? Yea I noticed the stock headlights dont have the bulb sheild but the clears do. So would removing the bulb shield make it brighter? Or would it just create an irregular beam pattern?
When I first put the HIDs in I thought they were going to bottom out on the bulb shield but they actually fit perfectly. I went out and looked at the clearance just now and it depends on how far they move. Theres maybe 1/4 to 1/2 in of clearance between the bulb and shield I'll have to get some pics later on today when I have access to a camera.

I have had the 6pc. Diamond clear set for a few years now...I bought them when they FIRST came out, I paid a lot more than $100 for them....

But I can say they STILL look new, and haven't fogged up, or turned opaque like people warned me about with these when I bought them...nobody was speaking of first hand knowledge, as I was one of the first ones to buy them....

pulling the sheilds out would be a LOT of work and it would probly just expose the bulb glare to oncoming drivers. I doubt there would be any noticable light output increase.

If there is a quarter of an inch clearance then that should be fine. I think the bixenons only have to move like an eighth of an inch up and down to imitate 9004 style halogens.

Oh yea they should be fine in there then.
Yea that would be alot of work since the shield is bigger than the bulb opening and the only easier way would be to dissasemble the headlight lens
